Introducing the Perth Hospitality Academy, Western Australia
Perth Hospitality Academy (PHA) is the hospitality department of Australian Professional Skills Institute, RTO registration 52007 and CRICOS registered provider 03255G.
PHA’s goals are enhancing the professional service standard and awareness in the hospitality sector and increasing skilled labour force in the hospitality industry by delivering nationally recognised qualifications based on the Australian vocational and education training system.
Though Australian Professional Skills Institute, PHA has been teaching hospitality training programs in Perth, Western Australia since 2010. In 2015, PHA expanded its commercial cookery operation and now PHA offers a comprehensive range hospitality training programs to hospitality professionals in Western Australia.
Perth Hospitality Academy is based in East Perth, just minutes’ walk from Perth CBD. It occupies four commercial units in Wellington Fair and a state-of-art Function Centre in Moore Street. It also has two commercial training kitchens, namely the Cooking Professor in Mt. Hawthorn and the Taste Budds cooking studio in Highgate.
Perth Hospitality Academy partners with Bailey’s hospitality group to offer internship and workplace training opportunities to all hospitality students. Bailey’s hospitality group owns an Italian restaurant called Café Bella Vista, a 50 room motel called Bailey’s Motel and a fully serviced apartment called Bailey’s Serviced Apartment. These facilities are conveniently located on Bennett Street in East Perth, just a 5 minutes’ walk from PHA main campus. PHA students can conduct their workplace training in a commercially run restaurant and in Bailey’s accommodation facilities.
PHA offers a multinational and multicultural learning environment through its foreign and local culinary arts and hospitality trainers and its students. PHA’s student mix composed of local Australian students and internationally students from over 40 countries.
